Welcome back, Vandals, to Week 2 of Playoffs! This week, get your Thanksgiving lists ready to include some heartwarming updates and fun, engaging stories to share with family and friends during next week’s Thanksgiving break! Starting with…

Monday, Nov. 18th

The beginning of the week kicked off with a bang as our Varsity Rainbow 6 Siege team secured a 3-0 victory over their opponents, The City College of New York. The R6 JV team followed in their varsity counterparts’ footsteps, also claiming a dominant 2-0 win against Siena College in a complete sweep.

Our Varsity Splatoon team had an amazing time facing off against our eternal rivals, WSU. Though the Vandals ultimately lost, the team had a productive day, sharpening their skills and strengthening their teamwork. A big shout-out to the MVP player M△X for racking up the most points for the team!

Tuesday, Nov. 19th

Day two brought mixed results for the Vandals. Unfortunately, the Varsity Valorant team fell 0-2 to the University of Michigan, marking the end of their playoff journey. Valorant JV 1 was also unable to participate in the playoffs this season due to not qualifying.

On a brighter note, our second JV Valorant team advanced in their playoff league with a decisive 2-0 victory over Saint Joseph’s University in a commanding performance.

Wednesday, Nov. 20th

The third day of Week 2 playoffs brought excitement as our Varsity Rocket League team clinched a narrow 3-2 victory against Penn State Behrend. The Vandals managed to pull off the win in the final minute of the last round.

Meanwhile, our Varsity Counter-Strike 2 team had their match rescheduled for Friday.

Thurday, Nov. 21st

Day four took an unexpected turn when staff decided to shake up the schedule with a fun series of Mario Kart games. Amid fierce competition, “Biped Toaster” emerged as the star, finishing first in every round.

Unfortunately, the Varsity League of Legends team’s match was rescheduled for Friday as well.

Friday, Nov. 22nd

The final day of the week started on a wholesome note as the Varsity Mario Kart team came together for a series of friendly, non-competitive games, celebrating the arrival of their team jerseys.

Our Varsity Counter-Strike 2 team capped off the week with a clean 2-0 victory against the University of Mary Washington. This win officially advances the Vandals to the Counter-Strike semifinals in their league!
